Victoria Hughes, PA-C
Victoria grew up just outside of Chicago and moved to Tampa, FL to attend the University of Tampa. She graduated in 2015 with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Allied Health with a concentration in Medical Sciences. Additionally, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors and earned memberships in Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Professional Health Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and the National Society of Leadership and Success.
During the summer of her junior year of college, Victoria was fortunate enough to spend six weeks studying abroad in Santiago, Chile during which time she completed Medical Spanish courses and shadowed healthcare providers at an Ophthalmologist’s office. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with a diverse culture, further improve her Spanish skills, and experience another country’s healthcare system.
Happy to call Florida her new home, she began furthering her experience in the medical field first by working as a Medical Scribe in a local Tampa emergency room followed by working as a Medical Assistant on a Mohs surgical team at a dermatologist’s office. Victoria proceeded to begin Physician Assistant school at Barry University’s St. Petersburg campus in August of 2017 from which she graduated with a Master of Medical Science Degree along with a 4.0 GPA. When not at work or studying, Victoria strives to find a work-life balance by spending time with friends and family, at the beach or out on the boat, or getting lost in a good book. Victoria’s passion for helping others and drive for success will continue to help her excel as a competent, caring healthcare provider.
